New Releases
Gorillaz
Tomorrow Comes Today
EMI

Originally
the cartoon outfit's very first single, Tomorrow Comes Today gets a
re-release in the wake of Gorillaz' phenomenal success. The song is
driven by a sparse and shadowy dub groove, heavy on the bass, while
Damon Albarn delivers one of his more reflective lyrics.
The White Stripes
Fell In Love With A Girl
XL

This
is arguably the most immediate gem from the Detroit-based siblings'
current, globally-acclaimed White Blood Cells album. Fell In Love With
A Girl is a stripped-down garage punk workout to savour.
Richie Hawtin
DE9: Closer To The Edit
Mute

This
double A-side has been taken from Hawtin's current mix album of the
same name. Both tracks are actually pretty unrecognisable reworkings
of Hawtin's own tracks Freek'd and Range'd.
Oscar G And Stryke
Hypnotised
Hooj Choons
Hypnotised offers a veritable variety pack of mixes. First off, there's
a pumping Dubby Vocal Mix from Red Cherry, with a wonderful, escalating
riff that seems to reach out to the heavens, followed by a sweeter,
Latin-infused house mix from Charles Webster.
Sharam Jey offers a harder house stance with his Tuffunk Mix, while
Oscar G gets tribal on Tabatha Byng's vocals with his Space Miami Mix.
Something for all corners of the dance world.
