I have always been fascinated with computers and technology, which is why I have chosen to follow a course in Digital Media. Thanks to my experiences I have become more efficient and confident with computers. Through work I have learnt a bit about designing and what is needed to excel in a working environment. The skills I have gained from working with computers are varied and include handling most programs, solving different types of problems and keyboard and mouse dexterity. I frequently get asked by neighbours and friends to help with computer dilemmas.

Thanks to the course I am doing now I am now familiar with Dreamweaver 2, Adobe PhotoShop 5, Adobe PageMaker 6, and HTML. The course has also increased my skills in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.

In my spare time I write my own stories, draw, go out with friends, and use the Internet. I have a great interest in manga (Japanese graphic novels) and anime (Japanese animation) because it's a good mixture of story and art. I also hope to create my own manga books when my artistic skills have increased.

Currently I am taking part in several 'played by e-mail' RPGs (Role Playing Games) where I get to use my imagination even more and interact with other people across the world.

The third game I became involved in and it's owner were the inspiration that made me start my own Web RPG. It's the first site I ever made and I wish I had time to update it more. We were never taught HTML at A-level so I was glad Homestead.com used an editor to make sites. On the down side a few browsers view the site wrongly even though it's correct in the editor. However I am very proud of it.

In the future I hope to work for and be trained by a computer company to do advanced computer techniques. I have always dreamed of having the ability to create my own computer programs and games but I don't have the knowledge yet.
