Rules For those who
have played message board RPGs before you will probably know what to
expect, however please read through all the rules before play. 1) Even though this game has the rating of 18+ it doesn't necessarily mean that only players of the age above 18 may join. It is merely a warning that the game contains adult themes such as relationships, emotions, gore, action, blood & guts, death and sexual content. Therefore if you wish to join this RPG then make sure you're mentally mature enough. 2) Your application must have been accepted by Dante or Jenova to play (doesn't matter who you send it too as it will be seen by both of us before being accepted). This is the only official way of getting a password for the board. 3) You can NOT play a pre-created, copyrighted character. It would be preferred if you made your own original characters. Players can also create NPCs (Non Player Characters) for character interaction, if they are going to be long running NPCs (ones that won't die in the post they appear in) then a character sheet should be created for them. Make your characters as creative and detailed as you can. 4) In
all posts make sure you enter your name in the space provided and give
an appropriate subject header. Entering in the e-mail field is optional. 5) When
starting out give your post a little back-story, perhaps on how the
character reached Inverse or something else in the past. You can either
start your own thread by clicking the 'post new message' link or enter
someone else's thread by replying to their last post. However make your
entrance timely so you don't add confusion to the current plot, it's
ok to wait until the right moment for your character to make their appearance. 6) No
PowerGaming/GodModing/Twinking. You know what it means. Your character
must have weakness and don't try to solve problems straight away all
the time. In other words you CAN'T be invincible, you can't dodge every
attack towards your character, and you have to give other players a
chance to react. 7) As
in most storybooks, write in third person and in the past tense. Also
remember to write in complete sentences. 8) Don't control other people's characters too much, if you wish for a reaction or to swap quick dialogue then check their character sheet to keep them in character. A good idea is for players of a thread to meet in a chat room for big battles and play them out there. Keep the log and then edit it to match the writing style and any details or changes before pasting and post it on the RPG board. 9) You'll notice on some of the existing character sheets that there are skill levels after certain attributes. These are graded out of a maximum of 9. Anything above this is not allowed. The only time it may happen is if the GMs create sheets for Demon Lords and/or God-Beasts. The number is just a rough guide as there are no actual dice throws in this game unless the GMs use it as a decider. 10)
Even though you're stuck in a city where depression and monsters make
your character's life a living hell, try to have fun. ^-^ ================================================================== -About talking
In Character "Double quotations for talking," said Dante. 'Just single one's for thinking,' thought Jenova. But of course, text without any quotations also means the thoughts of the character. {I use weird brackets,} imaged Raito. This is for a being that uses telepathy to a direct target, such as Raito to Marc, but as Marc is human he uses single quotations to 'talk' back. ~ These are cool! ~ said Gobartik. Actually these are practically the same as Raito's, they just look different to show them apart. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Flash backs or dreams are trapped in these to make sure there's no confusion. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
