INVERSE CITY
Local map

Found in the center of Los Angeles, Inverse is a typical medium-to-large urban city. As with the other towns and cities around it, Inverse has been rebuilt after the Okii-kaji earthquake ten years ago. Its downtown is a neon-studded jungle of cracked pavements, bloodstained walls, debris and dark alleys. However there are many housing estates and streets. Thanks to the quake a lot was lost, including the names of existing locations such as the forest to the south, therefore they were renamed.

The Hunters Guild building
A highly protected building that issues out bounties on demons and other evil creatures. It has several CCTV cameras as well as protection spells and traps for anyone foolish enough to take it on.
It looks heavily fortified, the size of a small mansion by the looks of the brickwork relative to the other buildings nearby. Strangely, it is along a rather normal street, built along a continuous row of restaurants and various apartments and shops.
It is built a bit back from the sidewalk, only three windows breaking the first floor's wall. Each one-way mirrors, though one is mostly covered with the latest wanted posters, and a second bares the name; "Inverse Hunter's Guild."
It has two floors, the second having only two windows, each mirrored as well, as well as a basement and a loft. There are six bedrooms, a small lab and sickbay, the main lobby and a library of old texts.
Only three people actually live there, an aging man that deals with the bounties, Warren Tristam, his young adopted daughter, Anna Tristam, and a young male doctor, John Reuben.
Link Ramsden guards out front, his 'pet' hidden in a small alley across the way.
The Police Station is far down to their far left, on the street corner.

Gee-Tech
A huge building on the outskirts on the city which acts as Gee-Tech's primary research facility. The company investigates into new sciences and viruses. However it also creates new weapons and researches arcane magic.

Zero (Aka "The Z" as in Zee)
Zero is a large, four-story building that has been converted into a club. The walls are all black and there are no windows at all. Two humans guard the main door at the front during the day and two demons guard it at night. The backdoor is always locked but most of the regulars have the keys to open it.
The furniture is all silver metal, there are no wooden objects inside and very little material or padding. There is a bar on the ground floor, with an elevator at the back. The club is on the second floor and then continues up on the third. There are rooms on the top floor used for 'personal' reasons. There's a basement with training facilities containing punch bags, weights and other equipment.

Cori's
A bar run by Corintheus. The bar never had a name since it was made for demons so it is referred to as Cori's.

Junkworld
The amusements arcade in the center of town beside Cori's. For over 18's only.

Dead Ice
A huge warehouse mostly used for raves, discos and such. It has a sign saying 'Dead Ice' over the door. Demons and humans hang out together there, mainly not vampires though as they tend to feed on the patrons.

Soze's
A block of flats near Dead Ice, all owned by Lady Soze (Soh-zay). The entire block is basically a brothel. Natasha Minx works here a lot.

Blue Monday
Located near to Zero, Blue Monday is an extremely classy restaurant. It's interior and even outside looks very posh and expensive. Not many of the demons go anywhere near Blue Monday because its too upper-class for their liking.

The Inverse Parks
The park is split up into four sections by fencing and roads, all spanning the eastside of Inverse. All contain trees, grassy hills and park benches.
The northernmost park is the biggest and contains several swings, slides, climbing frames, roundabouts and sandboxes.
The one below is mostly bare with a steep hills and cliff-faces, which is the fastest way to reach the caves.
The third is cut exactly in half by the Aire River. The half on the left is home to the Forgotten Shrine. The other is a winding path of trees and secluded park benches. Smaller graveyards are dotted around the parks.

The Caves
A cluster of caves inhabited by bats and other cave creatures. The caves are like huge mazes and some go deep underground. It's not known but some of the caves are mentioned in the old legends. It's rumored the so called 'alter of darkness' is hidden within one of them.
Recently it has been discovered that dragons live in some of the deeper ones.

Forgotten Shrine
A small shrine south of the parks. The legend surrounding it has been forgotten over time and all that's inside is a futon, a vase of ashes on a single shelf and an empty bookcase. There's also a water-well next to the shrine.

Aire River
A river that goes through the first three Inverse parks and caves, past the Riverside Hotel and all the way down to the Forgotten Shire before expanding into the Aire Lake.

Aire Lake
Once known as the Shiro Lake centuries ago, it is said to be the central point to many legends but nearly all are forgotten. It is next to the remains of the Inverse Forest and is where Devon does his washing.

Abandoned flour warehouse (Devon's)
Found to the south near Aire Lake. It is home to Devon and several rats and mice that feed on the bags of flour.

Junkyard
A basic but huge junkyard.

Dark Lake
At the opposite side of the city from the Aire Lake. In mostly contains trash and various water monsters.

Swamp
A foul smelling bog that is home to swamp creatures.

Misty Forest (Inverse Forest)
A huge and very old forest that is still present today, found south of the forgotten shrine. It is said that the gateway to the nine hells is hidden within it. At night it is covered in a mist that gets thicker nearer the center of it.

Misty Forest hut (Rei's)
A small hut on the edge of the Inverse Forest that is home to Rei.

Greenwood Forest
This is a small forest to the north of the parks. It is on an uphill gradient and oversees many of the city's sights.

Riverside Hotel
A very posh hotel built right next to the Aire River, with the rule; "No demons allowed!" Demons and other monsters are physically repelled from Riverside, which makes the hotel a good safe-haven for fleeing humans, but it comes at a price. It costs $800 to stay for one night and that's just for the basics.

Karma Hotel
A very strange hotel that has just opened to the public. It has already been rumored that it is an entrance to one of the Hells. This huge hotel contains baths, casinos, and many rooms. Sadly no human has come out alive, in fact anyone wishing to leave hasn't made it.

Mike's Motel
A more lenient resting-place than the Riverside. Demons are also welcome to stay there as well as poorer humans.

Ikon
After the success of the club in Watabe, Inverse got it's own. Huge cages hang from the ceiling where naked female dancers entertain. It's basically an upgraded strip club. Good escapism for humans.

The sewers
Inverse has a huge underground sewer system, which is home to many creatures. The occupants themselves have remodeled some of the sewers.

The church
A huge abandoned church that some lesser demons can not even step into.

Inverse graveyard
Which could have been said was unnaturally big for the city before 2005. It is located right next to the church.

Old castle
Found near the graveyard.

The Mall
On Mall Street there is a huge shopping complex where practically anything can be brought. There are several 'black market' locations within.

Cinema and ice rink
Found next to the mall complete with fast food drive-thru's and a huge car park.

Towns Street
A long street of shops that include tattoo parlors, noodle shops, coffee joints, pet shops, weapon/equipment shops, music stores and information dealers. Basically everything you would expect in a city of Inverse's size.

Beltane Street
A normal street of medium tagged houses.

Sandal Street
A street of higher priced houses nearer the beach.

Harrison Street
A street with five apartment blocks on it. The five blocks are called First, Second, Third, Forth and Fifth respectively. Each block has fifty rooms.

HeightenView
A small suburb that is about the only nice place in Inverse, located on the far West End. It is an up-market housing estate with a few long rows of houses, spread apart with spacious lawns and driveways. As it's on the outskirts of Inverse, it is the first street to be effected by the 'Regen project' which aims to rebuild Inverse back to the splendor state it once was. Courtney and Jem live on this estate.

Inverse High School
This building is a massive seven-level monolith roughly in the center of Inverse that is built to withstand attacks. The High School is attended by anyone at any age that wishes to learn. As well as the normal education paths, humans are taught basic low-level magic and attack patterns and weakness of types of monsters.

School field
A field with a storage shed, running track, football pitch and two courts that can be used for basketball or tennis.

Twin Dragon gyms
Two gyms built next to each other. One has the basic and new gym equipment and the other is used as a dojo or a place for one on one battles were people bet on the winner.

Police station
These guys can't really handle much and can only take on the average thugs. They are however starting to form an elite force.

Hospital and fire department
The same as any city but bigger to keep up with all the cases. The hospital has an attached research building to keep up with the new viruses and other effects caused by The Breaking.

*The original 'Ikon' nightclub, that became famous for having such beautiful female cage dancers.

CATLOW CITY
*The base for the 'Black Eagle Army' that uses heavy weaponry to take out demons and anyone in their way. However the name 'vultures' would suit them better as with the death of their old commander they became selfish and uncaring.

*The spaceport, which has been mostly delayed in production due to money restrictions. Only one space shuttle has ever lifted off from it but was destroyed by a winged demon seconds later.

RIPON TOWN
*A huge skate park where many skaters and bladers test their skills.
